Improving Safety Culture – One Conversation at a time

History tells us that procedures and policies alone do not guarantee a safe workplace. Conversely ‘Sergeant Safety’ walking the floor ‘looking for non-compliance’ does little to ensure workers will be safe. Without worker engagement, safety becomes words on a noticeboard or an interference with operations.

So how can we as leaders create a workplace that truly fosters a safe environment where the workgroup as a whole set the safety standard?

Jim Stevenson, HSEQ General Manager at BGC will share valuable lessons from his field experience and strategies developed to bring about positive change. This will be followed by a panel discussion represented by  industry experts where Q&A is welcome.  A fully catered lunch is provided.
