What Are The Nawic Crystal Vision Awards And Why Are They Important?

The NAWIC Crystal Vision Awards are state and territory based awards that recognise women, men and organisations that are championing and empowering women in the construction and related industries.

The Awards are important because they are the only awards of their kind in the construction industry. They demonstrate the industry’s commitment to building a better future by furthering the inclusion of women in the industry.

Our Success Is Your Success!

Each year we call on our supporters to either nominate themselves or identify and assist other amazing people and organisations to recognise the unique contribution they are making to foster change.

This can seem like a really big task, so for the next 6 weeks, NAWIC will be helping you every step of the way with weekly tips to ensure your nomination is the best that it can be!

REMEMBER: It Is Never Too Late To Start A Nomination And No Contribution Is Ever Too Small.

This Week’s Take Away Tip

Week 1

Challenge yourself to recognise the contribution that you are making to the industry to empower and champion women in the construction and related industries. Make 3 dot points.

Identify 1 other person in the industry that is championing change; it may be a colleague (man or woman) in your organisation or someone who you have previously worked with, or it could be an initiative that is being run by your employer. Before the end of the week, approach the relevant person and tell them about the NAWIC Crystal Vision Awards and that you think they would make an excellent candidate for one of the award categories. Alternatively, please email details to the NAWIC Nomination Team Leads, Renée Hauville or Emma Duncan and they will contact the potential nominee directly on your behalf.
