NAWIC VIC | SITE TOUR:
Suburban Rail Loop East - Clayton
Life Cycle Series - Part 1
Inside SRL: The Site Series
Join us for the launch of NAWIC Victoria’s new Lifecycle-style program, Inside SRL: The Site Series. Over the next 12–18 months, we’ll explore three Suburban Rail Loop East sites, giving members rare, staged insights into the delivery of one of Victoria’s largest infrastructure programs. This Clayton tour is the first event in the series.
About the Clayton Station Box Tour
Suburban Rail Loop East is the first stage of the SRL program, delivering 26 km of twin tunnels and six new underground stations between Cheltenham and Box Hill. Clayton will become a major transport super-hub, connecting the Cranbourne/Pakenham and Gippsland lines to SRL and improving access to world-class hospitals and medical research centres.
This tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at the site as it prepares for excavation of the station box. Hear from the project team about the works underway and what’s coming next.
The event will include:
- An overview of the project
- A presentation on works happening now and in the future at Clayton, including:
- Capping beam formwork, reinforcement and pouring process
