ELIGIBILITY
NAWIC Trade Scholarship: Apprentices
Who can apply?
Female identifying Apprentice in a construction related Trade Apprenticeship enrolled at TAFE or equivalent. The Scholarship is designed to support women in all fields of construction.
Eligibility:
To be eligible, you must:
• Female Identifying Trades Apprentice
• Reside in WA
• Be enrolled in a full-time Trade Apprenticeship at TAFE institution or RTO in a construction industry related trade.
• Australian Citizen / Eligibility to work in WA.
• Must not have previously been a recipient of the scholarship.
NAWIC Vacation Work Scholarship: University Students
Who can apply?
Female identifying students studying a course related to the construction industry at University are invited to nominate for the NAWIC Vacation Work Scholarship.
Eligibility:
You must:
• be a Female Identifying Student;
• reside in Western Australia;
• be enrolled full-time in the second or third year of an undergraduate degree program, related to planning, surveying, property, architecture, engineering or construction management at a university;
• be an Australian Citizen or have eligibility to work in WA;
• have a minimum 5.0 (on a 7-point scale) or 2.5 (on a 4-point scale) GPA' and
• not have previously been a recipient of the scholarship.
* Approximate dates for vacation work are set out. The applicant must be available during that period. The vacation work opportunity may not extend for the entire duration of the stated period, and may form only a portion of it. NAWIC will use all reasonable endeavours to facilitate an introduction between the successful applicant and an employer for the purposes of this vacation work opportunity, but the applicant acknowledges and agrees that this component of the scholarship is subject to availability of an appropriate employer. Further, any arrangement for vacation work will be the subject of a direct agreement between the employer and the applicant – NAWIC’s role is limited to the facilitation of an introduction. This award does not guarantee that the position is a paid vacation work role. NAWIC is not liable for any failure to facilitate the vacation work opportunity, and the applicant is not entitled to any additional compensation in such circumstances”.
