Hens is the State Sales Manager for ZIP Water WA, first women in leadership for the company within it’s 75-year history. The role she holds today engages with many aspects of the construction industry - builders, architects, designers through to plumbing trades.
Hens first joined NAWIC last year, sitting on two committees - Health & Wellness and Women in Trade. Being able to find an organisation that supports diversity plus throws in some amazing events, it wasn’t hard for her to put her hand up to chair the H&W committee this year. Professionally Hens’ focus has been working towards women holding more seats at a leadership level, there are two parts to this:
1. Asking questions of the current leadership team as to why there isn’t more diversity?
2. Supporting women to step up into these roles.
As a mother of four children + one cute dog, Hens will continue to promote to women that you do not have to choose between having a career and motherhood, you can do both.
