Rikki Toms has spent 30 years in the construction and construction materials Industry, working for Boral, Fulton Hogan, Holcim and more recently Laing O’Rourke. Rikki has worked her whole career in male dominated environments, leading both operational and function teams. Rikki is currently the Manager of Innovation, Sustainability and Quality at Laing O’Rourke, working directly on the Level Crossing Removal Program.
Rikki’s portfolio encompasses three key functional areas whereby she brings her strategic mind and a passion for innovative solutions, together with her thought leadership, to drive the organisation to become the leader of innovation of excellence.
Rikki is extremely passionate about advancing women in our industry and has lead numerous inclusion related initiatives including; implementation of the Cher Bher Campaign, rollout of gender neutral toilets and use of pronouns on email signatures at Laing O’Rourke and many more, which ultimately lead to her winning the NAWIC Crystal Vision award in 2020.
