Paula was the Founder of NAWIC in Australia having been a NAWIC member in the USA. Paula founded the Victoria/Tasmania Chapter and was instrumental in its growth. She was selected as an inductee for the 2011 Victorian Honour Roll of Women. She is an Associate Professor at the Monash University Law School and a Deputy Director of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law. Paula came to the field of human rights after many years as a lawyer in the tough, male-dominated field of construction law, where she worked on resolving disputes at major projects.
Tracey is the Head of Estimating and Pricing at BAE Systems. She has trade qualifications as an electrical fitter, electronic, refrigeration and air conditioning. In 1998 Tracey started the first international job exchange program with NAWIC. She is a founding and life member of NAWIC and a company director.
Catherine has been involved in NAWIC since its inception holding roles in both the chapter council and national board. She is currently a director and national treasurer and was the national president from 1999 to 2004.
An architect and project manager with extensive senior management experience in both public and private sectors, she has works across development, construction, architecture and urban design, focusing on project and design management complex commercial, hospitality and urban infrastructure projects.
Carol received her Life Membership of Nawic Australia when, as a member of the Austin Chapter she travelled to Brisbane for the International Job Exchange program. She is an Architect for Cox Rayner Architects in Brisbane.
Jennifer is the Principal of Bicknell Law & Consulting and has been practising construction and employment law since 1991. She is a founding member of NAWIC's NSW Chapter, and is currently the National Director responsible for the Membership portfolio.
Sandra was a founding member of the NSW Chapter in 1999. She is passionate about education and supporting women in the industry. She chaired the education committee (NSW) and piloted the NAWIC Mentoring Scheme (NSW) in 2002 and NAWIC University Scholarships in 2003 (NSW). Sandra was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for valuable contribution to NAWIC as NSW Chapter President in July 2005. In 2006 Sandra joined the National Board and served as the NAWIC National President from 2009 - 2013. Sandra has more than 20 years experience advising on contentious and non-contentious construction law matters and practises as a Construction Partner at the law firm K&L Gates in Sydney.
Laurice runs her own construction management consultancy. She was awarded the 2013 Grocon Crystal Vision Award in Victoria / Tasmania and had previously been the Victorian / Tasmanian President and VP as well as a National Director. Laurice has been not only a significant contributor to NAWIC but to the industry over the life of her career spanning around the globe.
