Becoming a leader is not easy. Leading for the first time can be overwhelming. Yet many new leaders are thrown into the deep end and expected to figure it out with limited preparation and practice. 
NAWIC QLD and WeAspire have partnered on the Aspiring Leaders Workshop Series to support emerging leaders in the construction industry to feel supported and ready to confidently progress into leadership positions.

Aspiring Leaders Workshop Series
This series will equip new and emerging leaders with the practical tools and skills you need to step into your leadership journey, and leave you feeling confident and ready to step into your next leadership opportunity. You will put your skills to the test, design your personal leadership plan and walk away with a set of tools ready to implement in your work and life.
The three-part series has been crafted by master facilitator Felicity Furey to deliver interactive, practical and experiential learning in 90 minute workshop sessions, including:
1. Leadership Fundamentals – build the foundations of your leadership
2. Leadership in action – unlock your power to accelerate your leadership
3. Influential leadership – elevate your leadership position and potential

Who is it for?
For emerging leaders with at least five years of industry experience who are preparing for a leadership role or who are new to leadership. It is for people who want to clarify their leadership style, develop leadership habits, gain practical leadership skills and experiences and become an influential leader.

Workshop 1: Leadership Fundamentals
Build the foundations of your leadership
Leadership begins with leading you, and understanding our personal and authentic leadership style. When you create deep leadership foundations, you are able to build a great team and become an influential leader. 

In Workshop 1 you will:
- Understand the world of leadership today and the modern landscape of leadership
- Learn the steps to ‘Lead You’ to then empower others to lead themselves
- Audit your leadership style and begin to uncover their personal leadership style
- Create a personal leadership plan for what is next for your leadership 

Attend all three sessions, to confidently accelerate your leadership journey with practical skills that will take you where you want to go.  

About the Facilitator
Felicity Furey - An award-winning business leader, engineer and entrepreneur, Felicity Furey has made a career out of making the ‘impossible’, possible.
Named one of AFR’s 100 Women of Influence by age 26 and Boss Magazine’s Young Executive of The Year, Felicity has led multi-million dollar engineering projects across Australia, founded several successful businesses including Power of Engineering, Machinam (pronounced mak-in-am) and WeAspire and secured partnerships with the likes of Qantas, Toyota and Energy Australia.

Felicity mentors high-performing teams and equips current and emerging leaders across every industry with the skills they need to make an impact and drive meaningful change. Currently Felicity is a Senior Lecturer and Engineer in Residence at Swinburne University and is the CEO of WeAspire.
