are currently working on the iconic David Jones – Queen Elizabeth II
Refurbishment Project. The job includes refurbishing a total of 13 levels all
whilst the store is fully operational.
The
completed floors are home to Disney, Shoe World, Bridal Suite and casual to
high end Womenswear. The floors currently under construction will have
menswear, beauty, accessories, a new food hall and new entries through the
existing façade on Ground Floor.
David
Jones was built in 1938 and majority of ceilings, floors and the façade have
not been touched since!
We will discuss the new
corer entries going in on Ground Floor as well as the unique challenges faced when
delivering this project, including the installation of new escalators and the detailed
coordination of around 100 tenants to each floor.
