Aidan Mullan, 
Sustainability Manager Interface Australia and New Zealand

As Sustainability Manager at Interface Aidan specialises in the commercialisation of the company’s Climate Take Back initiative to run its business in a way that reverses the effects of global warming.

He uses LCA tools to evaluate raw materials and manufacturing environmental impacts to assist the company in transitioning to more sustainable processes and products helping achieve its goal to become carbon negative by 2040.

A Chemical Engineer with Lean skills, Aidan leads local innovation projects to reduce waste, embodied carbon and continue development of the company’s circular economy model. 

A key part of his role is sharing the lessons learned on the way to achieving the Interface’s Mission Zero and Climate Take Back goals. He does this through workshops and lectures and is currently delivering CPD accredited training on “Designing with Climate in Mind” to architects and designers across Australia.
