The Mentoring Program was successfully launched on 20 July.  No further applications are being taken.

The program attracted a diverse group of 50 people within the construction industry and has started off with a huge success.  Enjoy your mentoring experiences everyone!

Mentoring Mission Statement

Inspire others to continually strive for higher levels of performance through creative and strategic methods that are always focused to achieving the intended goals.


Mentoring Program
NAWIC has joined forces with Property Council Australia (PCA) and the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) to launch a mentoring program for its members.

The program will be launched with a “Meet and Greet” session on 20th July where all mentors and mentees are given a detailed introduction to the program by a mentoring facilitator.

Mentoring pairs will have a formal program set out to help them meet and develop their individual objectives.


How do I benefit?

Who can be mentored?
Mentees must be female and a current paid member for 2010/11 of NAWIC, AIPM or PCA.  Any member can qualify as the occupations range from property management to architects to project managers to lawyers.  Age is not a requirement – if you are (say) 50 and want a mentor, we will try and accommodate your request.


Who can be a mentor?
Mentors can be male or female, and will be experienced and well respected in the industry.


How will the mentees be chosen?
We will try to accommodate all applications, but numbers will be limited at a certain level. If we are over the maximum number we will operate on a ‘first in first served’ basis, in conjunction with assessing the professionalism of the applicant’s submission.

What are my obligations?

We will go through the specific obligations on the night of the launch.  The level of involvement varies with the needs of the mentee and the extent of the mentor's input. Initially you could set up short meetings or conversations to get off to a good start and later meet less regularly or more frequently as required.


How do I sign up?

This program is strictly limited in numbers. Expressions of interest are ASAP. You must be a financial member of NAWIC, AIPM, or Property Council for F2010/2010 to participate in this program.
