MENTORING PROGRAM
| The 2013 NAWIC NSW Chapter
Mentoring Programme is now taking applications!
Deadline for applications is end of January 2013. The purpose of the mentoring programme is to extend women’s networks and provide them with a point of contact in the construction industry from whom they may gain advice or discuss industry and work related issues. The mentoring programme is a free service open to women of all ages and experience with a current NAWIC membership. We are also on the lookout for mentors - if you have been in the construction industry for at least five years please consider becoming a mentor and sharing your experiences!! Places are limited - Successful applicants will be advised of their match in February 2013 and the programme will launch March 2013 Click HERE to download the latest Mentor Programme Guidelines. Click HERE to download an application form to participate as a Mentor. Or, Click HERE
to download an application form to participate as a Mentee. Anyone is eligible to join the programme as a mentor, male or female. We are always looking for additional mentors and if you have been in the construction industry for even just a few years, it would be appreciated if you could share your experience with a colleague. Mentees must be current female NAWIC members but otherwise it is open to women of all ages, experience and time in the construction industry. NAWIC will attempt to match up mentors and mentees based on age, experience, and occupation. Once a suitable mentoring partner is found, you will then receive their contact details and encouraged to make contact. After this it is up to you as to whether you want to continue the relationship and if so, how often you meet, phone or email each other. Generally a mentoring partnership will last one year with about 2 hours of face to face meetings each month. Any NAWIC member is eligible to join the program so fill in the application form, send your current CV and get on board!
