MENTORING PROGRAM
| The Mentoring Program is a free service for NAWIC mentors. The
purpose of the program is to extend women’s networks and provide them with a
point of contact, in the construction industry from whom they may gain advice
or discuss industry and work related issues. Anyone is eligible to join the program as a mentor, male or
female. We are always looking for additional mentors and if you have been in
the construction industry for even just a few years, it would be appreciated if
you could share your experience with a colleague. Mentees must be current
female NAWIC members but otherwise it is open to women of all ages, experience
and time in the construction industry. NAWIC will attempt to match up mentors and mentees based on age,
experience, and occupation. Once a suitable mentoring partner is found, you
will then receive their contact details and encouraged to make contact. After
this it is up to you as to whether you want to continue the relationship and if
so, how often you meet, phone or email each other. Generally a mentoring
partnership will last one year with about 2 hours of face to face meetings each
month. For more information regarding the specifics of the program do
