2009 Awards for Excellence

NAWIC SA is pleased to announce results of the 2009 Awards For Excellence.   

The 2009 South Australian Awards for Excellence were held during September at Aria Bar + Ristorante.  The SA Awards for Excellence are an opportunity to celebrate and recognise women and their achievements in the construction industry.

NAWIC Crystal Vision Award

The 2009 Crystal Vision Award was awarded to Katherine Lang of Candetti Constructions.  Katherine is the current National Vice President of NAWIC as well as the Secretary of the South Australian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Building. This category celebrates achievements with vision - those who saw a role for women in the construction industry and promoted and encouraged women to progress in the industry. Baulderstone Outstanding Achievement in Construction Award

The 2009 Baulderstone Hornibrook Award for Excellence in Construction was awarded to Daniella Di Ciocco of Baulderstone. This award celebrates the achievements of an outstanding individual who has contributed to a construction project in a management or supervisory role. AECOM Contribution to Sustainability Award

The 2009 Aecom Award for Contribution to Sustainability was awarded to Alecia Wright of Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure.  Alecia has shown outstanding leadership in the areas of contaiminated soil management, noise mitigation and Aboriginal Heritage management in her role with DTEI. This category is open to entrants with achievement in sustainabile practices within the construction industry including sustainable design, environmental management, ecology, environmental policy, stakeholder engagement and community engagement and development.
