To champion and empower women in the construction and related industries to reach their potential.

Our Members

The NAWIC members come from a wide range of backgrounds including; engineers, lawyers,architects, project managers, builders, quantity surveyors, trades, interior designers, small businesswomen, marketing, education, developers, property, and research and development.

NAWIC organises a range of activities for members and their associates, ranging from social functions, annual Awards of Excellence, education seminars, site visits, mentoring programs, scholarships and key speaker events. Through these activities the organisation continues to support the industry by attracting and retaining talented women as well as recognising men and women who contribute to the promotion of diversity of thinking.

NAWIC Mentoring Programs

There are mentoring programs that are currently ongoing in ACT, VIC, NSW, and QLD chapters.  As a part of those programs we are helping bolster the industry with hundreds of men and women both participating as mentees and mentors from a diverse pool of experience, industries, and age.  This program has been very successful in helping retain women in the industry!

If you missed out on any of those programs, we are also working with the Australian Women in Resources Alliance (AWRA) and a participant of the e-Mentoring Program which is helping women in  the resource, allied and construction industries reach their full potential. NAWIC has a comprehensive mentoring program and understands the value of such programs. We support the opportunity for Mentors and Mentees to register their interest in this program at: 

The AWRA e-Mentoring program is funded by the Australian Government through the National Resources Sector Workforce Strategy. 


Strategic Plan

The board and CEO have met and drafted the new strategic framework on August 9th.  The Chapters via the Presidents will now get involved in completing the Strategic Plan and subsequently we'll communicate the plan back out to our members.
