Marking Flinders University’s 50th anniversary, the new Student Hub and Plaza at the University’s Bedford Park campus adopts the latest education design principles, creating a diversity of spaces designed for active learning.
Architect and Interior Design consultants Woods Bagot and Contractor Lend Lease invite you on a comprehensive tour to see first hand the latest design principles enabling Flinders University to create an engaging learning environment for students.
As part of the Flinders Future Focus strategy, the design offers students a relevant and engaging campus that is aligned to their needs.
With a focus on student interaction, engagement and services, the new Student Hub and Plaza is a vibrant place to learn, connect and play. A mix of technology-enabled student spaces provides choice and autonomy, encouraging collaboration and peer collegiality.
The redevelopment features quiet study spaces, collaborative group lounges and conference facilities, improving student amenities including access to the Central Library and streamlining of student services.
In addition to the innovative student spaces, the project provides new bars, restaurant, function centre, retail, as well as food and beverage outlets.
Totaling over 11,000m2 of new facilities, the $63 million redevelopment also features a new terraced amphitheatre designed to host outdoor events for up to 2,000 people.
Following the tour guests will join the project team for some light refreshments and networking opportunities.
